TRANSFORMING A GLOBAL HEADQUARTERS FOR NEW ENGLAND OUTDOOR BRAND

This 170,000 SF phased renovation transformed Timberland’s headquarters into a modern, nature-focused space to reflect their New England outdoor brand. Throughout this project, renovations included a new retail space, workstations, café, coffee bar, fitness center, and an inviting lobby with a 30-foot living moss wall and an expansive shoe display.

In order to keep the schedule on track to achieve Timberland’s tight deadline, Timberline took a proactive approach by pre-ordering a variety of materials used in this project, providing design-assist with certain trades and working off-hours and weekends. To successfully work in an occupied work environment with over 400 employees, Timberline divided the project into multiple phases to accommodate Timberland’s facilities and ongoing operations, while maintaining the highest level of safety standards.

In May 2022 this project was recognized by CoreNet Global New England Chapter as a Best Workplace Award Winner.

Post design approval we engaged with Timberline Construction to make the design a reality. This project was saddled with many obstacles including, construction within the center of a live building, unforeseen conditions, and an extremely short (some would say impossible) timeline for completion. At every step Timberline management, project managers and staff always met problems, concerns or last-minute changes or challenges with positive attitudes and creative solutions and expertise. The project was delivered on that very short timeframe, with minimal impact on our day to day business.
