NEW HEADQUARTERS FOR GLOBAL SHOE RETAILER

Clarks, the largest everyday shoe retailer in the world, chose Timberline to realize their vision for a new state-of-art-headquarters facility. The 120,000 SF multi-faceted facility was constructed within a three-story core and shell structure.

Timberline began work while base building construction was still underway successfully addressing the complex logistics and coordination challenges that arose. With limited access for lift equipment to reach the 55’ tall atrium ceiling, Timberline deployed temporary staging to build out the interior of the dramatic 4-story glass-enclosed atrium lobby from the top down. Conference rooms and offices overlook the grand space. A handsome finely detailed stairway functions as a gateway to the internal “street” connecting the east and west wings of the building.

In the center of the “street” Timberline constructed a second two-story space that features a showroom opening onto a large gathering area and staircase as well as a cafe and lounge with a welcoming gas fireplace. Rich in amenities, the headquarters features a fitness center, roof deck and outdoor patio.

The program included private and open offices, conference rooms, and product showrooms as well as a model workshop and a large photo studio. Timberline installed all new MEP systems throughout the building. With an open-ceiling concept, getting the “look” of exposed ductwork just right was imperative.

A large data center serving the new headquarters was completed on the top level and turned over to Clarks ahead of move-in to allow for network installation. Timberline completed this complex headquarters project on time and on budget exceeding the client’s expectations.

Timberline really took the time to get to know us and understand everything Clarks was about. They committed to helping us achieve our vision instead of trying to fit our vision into anything they had done in the past. That’s why we brought them on board and it turned out to be a really good decision.
