Surface Oncology

BL2 LAB, CHEMISTRY LABS & OFFICES

Surface Oncology is a life-sciences company focused on developing next-generation cancer immunotherapies and growing at a rapid pace. To accommodate that growth, Surface Oncology recently expanded their existing facilities at 50 Hampshire Street in Cambridge with an additional 12,000 SF. Timberline has led the construction effort to create a combination of new labs and offices.

This follows Timberline’s fit-out of 5,000 SF for office and BL2 lab space at 215 First Street, Cambridge. Extensive HVAC modifications and certified air balancing were carried out to accommodate the specialized requirements of the new lab. Lab support services ranging from de-ionized water and RO water systems to natural gas and a vacuum system. Timberline scheduled construction activities to minimize disruption to adjacent tenants in the fully-occupied building while meeting an aggressive schedule.
