Committed to Making a Difference

At Timberline, building exceptional spaces is only part of our responsibility. We’re equally committed to strengthening the communities where we live, work and build. For us, Exceptional. No Exceptions. extends beyond the jobsite. It’s reflected in how we invest our time, resources and expertise to create lasting impact.

Year after year, we partner with more than 65 non-profit organizations, educational institutions and community groups, supporting causes that strengthen our neighborhoods and improve quality of life. From volunteer service and charitable giving to long-term client relationships, we’re proud to stand alongside organizations making a meaningful difference.

Recognized for Giving Back

Our commitment to community has been recognized by the Boston Business Journal, which has consistently named Timberline among its Top Charitable Contributors as part of its Corporate Citizenship Awards. The annual recognition highlights organizations that contribute at least $100,000 to charitable causes each year, underscoring Timberline’s longstanding investment in the communities we serve.

We’re proud to be recognized alongside organizations making a difference throughout Greater Boston, and even prouder of the employees, clients and community partners who make our efforts possible. As we look ahead, we’re committed to continuing to grow our culture of giving and finding new ways to make an impact.

Our commitment comes to life in many ways:

Volunteerism: Through Timberline’s Culture Club, our employees dedicate their time and talents to service projects, fundraising initiatives and community events.

Philanthropy: We support organizations through charitable donations, sponsorships and fundraising efforts that advance education, youth development, health care, housing and essential community services. Our employee matching program further amplifies that impact by matching employee donations to eligible non-profits.

Purpose-Driven Partnerships: Many of our most meaningful community contributions begin with the relationships we build. We’re proud to partner with non-profit and mission-driven organizations including Cushing Academy, EcoTarium, FamilyAid, Malden Catholic, Animal Rescue League, Notre Dame Health Care, Rivier University, YMCA of Central Massachusetts and Youth Enrichment Services (YES), among many others. These partnerships allow us to support organizations that strengthen our communities while creating spaces that help advance their missions.

We believe meaningful change happens when people come together around something bigger than themselves. Whether we’re building a facility, volunteering in the community or supporting a cause that matters, we’re committed to making a lasting difference, one project, one partnership and one community at a time.

Our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility

Timberline’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program guides how we operate and reflects our commitment to making a positive impact through the way we build, the way we work and the relationships we foster. Our approach centers on four key areas:

Community: Strengthening the communities where we live and work through volunteerism, charitable giving and long-term partnerships.

Workplace: Creating an inclusive, collaborative environment where our people feel supported, respected and empowered to grow.

Environment: Incorporating sustainable building practices and environmentally responsible solutions that reduce our impact and help our clients achieve long-term performance goals.

Marketplace: Operating with integrity and maintaining high standards for safety and quality while building trusted relationships with clients, trade partners and industry organizations.

Our commitment to responsible practices starts at home. Timberline’s corporate headquarters was renovated with sustainability and occupant well-being at the forefront and designed to meet LEED and WELL certification standards. The renovation incorporated energy-efficient HVAC and MEP systems, as well as rooftop solar panels to help reduce our environmental impact.

Our own project management, preconstruction and field teams also bring significant sustainability expertise to the work, with many team members holding LEED credentials. That knowledge allows us to help clients make informed, environmentally responsible decisions that support their projects, their occupants and the communities around them.

“Malden Catholic celebrates Timberline as its inaugural Corporate Partnership Excellence Award recipient. Timberline’s client-centered approach has been apparent, specifically with respect to its commitment to cost and time certainty, generous financial support of the school, and recognition of its corporate responsibility to use success to improve the communities where they choose to do business.” –John K. Thornburg, Malden Catholic President
