Youth Enrichment Services (YES)
Boston, MAA New Community Hub for Boston’s Youth
Timberline is constructing a new three-story, 16,000 SF headquarters for Youth Enrichment Services (YES), a transformative project that will provide the nonprofit organization with a purpose-built facility to expand its impact on Boston’s youth. Designed as a year-round hub for education, recreation and mentorship, the new building will strengthen YES’ ability to deliver life-changing outdoor and leadership programming for generations to come.
The facility brings together a dynamic mix of specialized and flexible spaces, including a rock-climbing wall, ski shop, bike storage, classrooms, conference rooms, multipurpose areas and administrative offices. Thoughtfully designed to support both daily operations and community engagement, the headquarters will serve more than 2,000 youth annually while significantly increasing the organization’s program capacity.
Constructing the facility has required a high level of technical expertise and coordination. The site is bordered by active MBTA and Amtrak rail lines and an adjacent construction project, demanding meticulous planning, continuous collaboration with transit authorities and neighboring teams, and rigorous safety controls. Through careful execution in this highly constrained environment, Timberline is developing a complex ground-up facility that will serve as a lasting resource for the community.
