BRINGING NEW LIFE TO A UNIVERSITY’S MAIN VENUE
Located in Lindsay Hall, Koumantzelis Auditorium is the University’s main venue for theatrical performances, concerts, student and parent orientations as well as public events. Bentley chose Timberline as its construction partner when the university undertook a complete gut renovation and modernization of the venue. The renovated space features a contemporary design with high-end finishes, modern lighting, elevated ceilings, and a new stage configuration.
Working on an accelerated schedule during summer break, timberline completely demolished the existing facility and constructed a new ceiling and HVAC system, new auditorium seating, accessibility improvements as well as a reconfigured stage and new proscenium wall. New finishes were applied throughout include acoustical wall paneling, millwork, flooring and lighting.
The results: a modernized and refreshed venue with enhanced aesthetics, functionality and acoustics.
