warehouse conversion for NEW COMMERCIAL CATERING FACILITY
This new 40,000 SF commercial catering facility on McClellan Highway in East Boston supports the receipt, preparation, and packaging of over 2,000 meals per day for airlines at Logan International Airport. The facility also provides commercial dishwashing to service return trays from incoming flights.
The project scope included substantial renovations to the existing space to accommodate the new infrastructure-intensive use. Existing HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems were supplemented and updated. New roof-top HVAC equipment was installed requiring the upgrading of existing structural systems to provide adequate support.
Installation of five prefabricated walk-in coolers and freezers together with a complete 2,000 SF commercial kitchen required high levels of coordination and expediting to meet the project’s deadlines.Back to Retail Projects
