David Barter brings more than 30 years of experience in information technology leadership, enterprise architecture and business transformation to his role as Chief Information Officer (CIO). David is known for aligning technology with business objectives, building scalable systems and guiding organizations through periods of growth and change. His leadership style is grounded in practical execution, long-term vision, and a deep understanding of how technology can enable performance, efficiency and innovation.
As Timberline’s first CIO, David is responsible for establishing and leading the company’s enterprise technology strategy. His role includes overseeing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, data governance, and systems integration while partnering closely with executive leadership and business teams. He will focus on optimizing technology investments, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring that Timberline’s digital platforms support collaboration across offices, project teams and field operations as the company continues to grow.
David’s background uniquely positions him for this role. He has held senior leadership positions at respected technology firms including CBE Technologies, Winxnet, GreenPages Technology Solutions and most recently, Blue Mantis. His experience spans CIO-level leadership, enterprise solution architecture, cloud and Microsoft technologies, and managed services. Throughout his career, David has helped organizations modernize their systems, strengthen security and translate complex technical solutions into meaningful business outcomes.
