A Modern Workplace Built for Flexibility

Fisher Phillips sought a modern, flexible workplace for the law firm’s Portland office, relocating within its existing downtown high-rise to a newly renovated 12,700 SF eighth-floor suite designed to support continued growth.

A key component of the renovation was preparing the existing floor for the installation of prefabricated modular wall systems (DIRTT), which provide long-term flexibility for future reconfiguration. Significant elevation inconsistencies across the existing slab required extensive leveling to achieve the tight tolerances necessary for proper installation of the system.

Working within a fully occupied building also required careful coordination of shared loading dock access, off-hours deliveries and noise restrictions to minimize disruption to other tenants throughout construction.

The completed office now includes private offices, open workspaces, conference and research rooms, a breakroom and IT network room, with refined finishes throughout including custom architectural millwork and comprehensive MEP upgrades.

Despite permitting delays, unforeseen conditions and design revisions, strategic sequencing and schedule adjustments kept the project on track to meet Fisher Phillips’ occupancy deadline.
