RENOVATIONS TO HISTORIC LIBRARY & CLASSROOM BUILDING

The Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine is one of the eight colleges and schools that compose Tufts University and the only school of veterinary medicine in New England. The historic Franklin M. Loew Center is named for the distinguished second dean of the Veterinary School and houses a library as well as classrooms on three levels.

Timberline has completed a number of renovation projects at the Loew Center. Comprehensive envelope repairs and improvements were performed to the solid brick exterior walls and the existing roof. This project also entailed HVAC system replacements and enhancements to upgrade the chillers, air-handling units and boilers for greater system efficiency. Timberline also mitigated moisture issues related to the interior of the building.

Timberline has also performed ADA accessibility improvements at the building and upgraded a teaching lab to support multifunctional uses.

Timberline’s enduring relationship with Tufts University includes multiple projects at both the North Grafton and Medford campuses.
